Analisis Pengereman Menggunakan Metode Hybrid Plugging Braking Dan Magnetic Braking Pada Motor Induksi Tiga Fasa
ABSTRACT
Three-phase induction motors are widely used in industry due to their reliability and efficiency. An effective braking sistem is required to ensure safety and operational performance. Plugging braking provides fast stopping time but generates high transient current and thermal energy, while magnetic braking offers smoother operation with longer stopping time. This study analyzes a hybrid braking sistem combining plugging and magnetic braking using PSIM simulation. The observed parameters are braking time and thermal energy. The sistem operates sequentially, with plugging braking applied at high speed and magnetic braking at low speed. The results show that magnetic braking produces a stopping time of 11.56 s, while plugging braking achieves 0.70 s. The hybrid sistem results vary from 6.7 s (1300 RPM) to 0.93 s (100 RPM). In terms of thermal energy, magnetic braking generates 686,95 J, plugging braking 23.255,63 J, and the hybrid sistem ranges from 2.052,31 J to 22.288,96 J. These results indicate that the hybrid method provides a balance between fast braking and reduced thermal energy, depending on the selected transition speed.
