Analisis Perancangan Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya Pada Pltu Ombilin Untuk Pemakaian Sendiri
ABSTRACT
This study discusses the design analysis of a rooftop Photovoltaic Power Plant on-grid hybrid system at Ombilin Steam Power Plant for self-consumption purposes. The high internal energy consumption of the power plant encourages the utilization of renewable energy as a supporting energy source to improve operational efficiency. The objective of this study is to design a rooftop photovoltaic system integrated with the internal electrical system of PLTU Ombilin, determine the capacity of solar modules, inverters, and energy storage systems, and analyze the capability of the system in supplying part of the self-consumption load demand. The research method was conducted through the collection of primary data, including self-consumption load data and rooftop area dimensions, as well as secondary data such as solar irradiation and ambient temperature data. The system design was carried out using a technical approach based on Peak Sun Hours (PSH), performance ratio, module string configuration, inverter capacity, and battery capacity parameters. System performance simulation was performed using PVsyst software to evaluate energy production, system losses, and photovoltaic performance parameters. The results show that the rooftop on-grid hybrid photovoltaic system is technically feasible as a supporting energy source for supplying part of the self-consumption demand of PLTU Ombilin. The designed system is capable of producing stable electrical energy with a good performance ratio and can help reduce internal energy consumption from the main power generation system.
