Optimasi Variasi Bahan Bakar Dan Rasio Campuran Pada Prototipe Kapal Permukaan Tanpa Awak Dengan Mesin 2 Tak
ABSTRACT
This study aims to analyze the effect of variations in fuel type and oil mixture ratio on fuel consumption, thrust force, and to determine the optimal combination for achieving the best engine performance in an unmanned surface vehicle powered by a two-stroke engine. The fuel types used in this study are Pertalite, Pertamax, and Pertamax Turbo. The oil mixture ratios tested are 1:30, 1:40, 1:50, 1:60, and 1:70. The experiments were conducted at throttle openings of 40%, 50%, and 60% with observed parameters including fuel consumption, torque, effective shaft power, specific fuel consumption, thrust, and vessel speed. The results show that increasing the oil mixture ratio tends to reduce fuel consumption due to improved lubrication quality, which decreases mechanical friction. The thrust value increased with the oil mixture ratio up to an optimum condition at the ratio 1:50 ratio, then decreased at higher ratios due to less complete combustion. Pertamax Turbo fuel provides the best performance compared to other fuels across all tested parameters. The optimal condition is achieved using Pertamax Turbo with an oil mixture ratio of 1:50 at a throttle opening of 60%, producing a maximum thrust of 44.64 N, torque of 1.61 Nm, effective shaft power of 1827,52 W and the lowest specific fuel consumption of 0,8 kg/kW.hours. High-octane fuel combined with an appropriate oil mixture ratio is capable of improving the efficiency and performance of the engine in the unmanned surface vessel, thereby serving as a reference for the development.
