Pengembangan E-Modul Fisika Berbasis Icare Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berfikir Kritis Dan Minat Belajar Peserta Didik Pada Materi Fluida
This study was initiated by the low level of students’ critical thinking skills and learning interest in fluid topics. The lack of variation in the learning process and the reliance on textbooks as the primary learning resource were identified as the main factors causing students to become passive during learning activities. The objectives of this research were to develop a product, examine its feasibility and practicality, and determine the effectiveness of the ICARE-based physics e-module. This research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model. The validity assessment was conducted at Universitas Riau by three experts. The average scores obtained were 3.86 from the material expert (valid category), 4.39 from the media expert (very valid category), and 4.12 from the pedagogy expert (valid category). The practicality and effectiveness testing were carried out at SMA Negeri 5 Tapung, Kampar. The practicality test results showed that the e-module was practical, with average scores of 4.18 from teachers and 4.13 from students. The research sample was selected using simple random sampling, assigning Class XI A2 as the experimental group and Class XI A1 as the control group. The data collection instruments included validation sheets, practicality questionnaires, critical thinking skills tests, and learning interest questionnaires. The results indicated that the ICARE-based physics e-module was effective in improving students’ critical thinking skills and learning interest, as evidenced by the Mann–Whitney U test results.
