Analisis Perbandingan Sudut Kemiringan Panel Surya Pada Floating Pv Untuk Meningkatkan Pemanfaatan Peak Sun Hour
ABSTRACT
The utilization of solar energy is influenced by the tilt angle of solar panels, which determines the amount of solar radiation received and the effectiveness of Peak Sun Hour (PSH) utilization. This study aims to analyze the effect of panel tilt angles on a Floating Photovoltaic (FPV) system in terms of power output, efficiency, and PSH utilization. The experiment was conducted at the UPA Bahasa Reservoir, Universitas Riau, using a 100 Wp monocrystalline solar panel with tilt angle variations of 5° and 10°. The measured parameters included voltage, current, power output, panel temperature, and solar irradiance, with data collected at one-hour intervals from 08:00 to 17:00 WIB over a period of seven days. The results showed that both tilt angles exhibited relatively similar performance; however, the 5° tilt angle produced a higher total daily energy output of 2,459.985 Wh, compared to 2,423.64 Wh at the 10° tilt angle. The contribution of energy generated during the PSH period ranged from 46% to 72% of the total daily energy production, while the difference in the average efficiency between the two tilt angles was less than 1%. Based on these findings, a tilt angle of 5° is recommended as the more effective configuration for enhancing PSH utilization and energy production in FPV systems installed on reservoirs similar to the UPA Bahasa Reservoir, Universitas Riau.
