Deteksi Protozoa Usus Patogen Pada Penderita Diare Anak Di Puskesmas Rawat Inap Kota Pekanbaru

Infectious disease which is caused by intestine’s protozoa is a disease which is spread all over the world and still become a health society problem in Indonesia.The purpose of this research is to detect intestine’s protozoa such as Entamoeba histolytica, Giardia lamblia, and Balantidium coli on the children patient with diarrhea at Puskesmas Rawat Inap Kota Pekanbaru. Detection of protozoa was carried out by staining tricrome method. The design of this research is descriptive. The data was collecting by performing microscopic examination and counted manually. From 76 sampels were examined, 22 sampels were found with pathogen intestinal protozoa. The most frequent of pathogen intestinal protozoa found was Giardia lamblia (15,8%), Entamoeba histolytica (11,8%), and Balantidium coli (1,3%). Frequency of Giardia lamblia and Entamoeba histolytica based on the age was higest at 1-5 years old (40,9%) and (36,36%). Frequency of based on the sex was higest in boys Giardia lamblia (50%), Entamoeba histolytica (27,27%), and Balantidium coli (1,3%).
