Kualitas Perairan Sungai Siak Berdasarkan Bioindikator Makrobentos Untuk Pengembangan Unit Modul Mata Kuliah Ekologi Perairan Pada Konsep Komunitas

The aim of this research was to know quality of Siak River based on macro benthos as bioindicator on February until June 2014. The result of research was used to development module in Aquatic ecology subject. This research was implemented in 2 steps; they are field research step and development module step. Determination of research station was by purposive random sampling with assign 6 research station. Each station consisted 3 sampling point sampled. Biology parameters were composition types, density, diversity index, and saprobitas index. Physical and chemical parameters including temperature, brightness, current velocity, dissolve oxygen, pH, salinity, texture class and organic content of substrate. Result of research showed that the quality of Siak River based on macro benthos as bioindicator was medium to worse with medium to severe levels polluted. Getting to downstream, the quality of Siak river was worse. The result of research being module unit in community concept for the learning of aquatic ecology subject.
