This research aims to analyze the correlation between academic supervision and the training to the teachers’ knowledge in preparing the teaching and learning materials at SMA Negeri 3 Mandau, Kecamatan Mandau Bengkalis Regency. The population of the research was the teachers at SMA Negeri 3 Mandau totaling 97 teachers and 78 teachers were taken as the sample. This research has been conducted for five months from December to April 2015. The finding showed that: 1) there wasa significant correlation between academic supervision with the teachers’ knowledge in preparing the teaching and learning materials and the contribution was 4.5%, 2) there was no the significant correlation between training with the teachers’ knowledge in preparing the teaching and learning materials, and 3) there were the significant correlations between academic supervision and training together with the teachers’ knowledge in preparing the teaching and learning materials and giving the contribution 4.5%,
