In general, oil palm farmers do fertilization method uses a system of sowing by sprinkling fertilizer on the outskirts (discs) of oil palm trees, but it is not effective because the fertilizer will evaporate and carry by the water when it rains. The purpose of making mechanical fertilization tool by using pocket system for oil palm trees is to optimize fertilization which refers to the 5 T, which are the right dose, the right time, the right type, the right way and the right quality. Mechanical fertilization tool by using pocket system for oil palm trees is driven by motors, the process of distributing fertilizer by punching holes in the ground mechanically using a drill and then distribute fertilizer from the tank to the ground through the metering valve as a graduated fertilizer. Fertilizer equipment components consist of fertilizer reserves, tugal system, box hopper, and the front wheels. This tool is able to pierce the mineral soil up to a depth of 15cm hole and the process of distribution of the fertilizer hopper box to tugal system is very easy to fit measuring. 1 Fertilizer reserve’s body can support the weight of 50kg and the content of the fertilizer box hopper capacity of 20kg.
