Pembuatan Etanol Gel Menggunakan Gelling Agent Asam Stearat Dengan Variasi Komposisi Etanol

Ethanol gel is ethanol with the physical form of a gel. Products are highly prospective ethanol gel developed. Ethanol gel has several advantages compared to solid fuel paraffin that is renewable, during combustion does not smoke, does not cause soot, does not produce harmful gases, non carcinogenic and non corrosive. Shaped gel facilitate the packaging and distribution. In this research, manufacture ethanol using ethanol gel with the content of 70%, 80% and 90% and a gelling agent memfariasikan stearic acid with a total volume of ethanol 25 ml and 35 ml. This study aims to find ways of making ethanol gel by adding to maximize the long axis of the flame. From the research that has been done shows that ethanol gel best with 70% ethanol concentration and total volume of 25 ml of ethanol. Keywords: stearic acid, ethanol,ethanol gel, gel, gelling agent
