Motivasi Remaja Menjadi Anggota Komunitas Punk (Studi Kasus Pada Komunitas Street Punk Jalan Tuanku Tambusai Kota Pekanbaru)

Teenager is a transition phase where the emotional condition is not stabil yet, which is going to accept a change. One of the change that is going to happen is the appearance of the punk community which is not strange thing for our people to hear. Punk as a resistannce against capitalism that happen from long time ago until now is showing with fahsion and different activity. Tomohawk hair, pierced ear and nose, boots shoes, chain, blach outfits, jeans and tattoo that they wear is a form of their eccentric appearance and also they add beg while singing, gathering with the punk as negative connotation in the eyes of people. Then, what is the teenagers’ motivation to choose as a punk community member?This reaseacrh use as the answer of the problems above with meeting with six persons punk community members in different places as subject or informan for the reaseach. Collecting data from observation and interview with the punk community member.Result of the reasearch delivered with decriptive qualitative showing the teenagers’ intrinsic motivation to be punk community member are the interest of the look and feel comfortable and the extrinsicmotivation are family and the same age friends. Punk community also fullfil the needs based of their motivation, which is delivered by McCelland’s Theory, but the result of the reasearch showing that the needs to have power is not found in punk community. Then, their point of view of punk community is really positive and also their point of view of the people that they consider as punk and also the inside of it.
