Analisis Pengembangan Industri Pengolahan Bubuk Kopi Robusta Di Kabupaten Dairi Sumatera Utara
This study aimed to determine the variables that influence the development of robusta coffee powder processing industry and determine the condition scale production ( returns to scale ), as well as the efficiency of use of factors of production of robusta coffee powder processing industry in Dairi, North Sumatra.
In this study population by 27 processing units robusta coffee powder. The sampling technique used is the census, the sampling technique when all the population sampled. So that the sample is all coffee powder processing industry entrepreneurs in Dairi North Sumatra as many as 27 people .
Results from studies using Michael Porter's five forces analysis, and analysis of RBV (Resource Based View) As well as the analysis of the function of the Cobb-Douglas function, known variables that most influence the development of robusta coffee powder processing industry is the input variable, namely raw materials, capital, and labor which is a major factor in the production process. The scale of the economic results of robusta coffee powder processing industry showed increasing returns to scale because b1 + b2> 1. In the event of additional production factor equal to 1% then production will increase by 1373 which is greater than the addition of input, caused by the use of factors of production or input variable capital such as machinery and labor positive synergy, business and robusta coffee powder in Dairi able to handle production management business. Efficiency value price of capital input of 1.8817 more than one, which means inefficient use of production inputs and need to increase the quantity of use of capital to achieve the level of efficiency. Labor input value 0.013 is less than 1, which means inefficient use of labor so as to achieve an efficient level then the quantity of labor used needs to be improved.
