Kontribusi Sub-Sektor Perikanan Terhadap Produk Domestik Regional Bruto (Pdrb) Dan Kesempatan Kerja Di Provinsi Riau

This research was conducted in the province of Riau, which discusses the contribution of the fisheries sub - sector to the Gross Regional Domestic Product ( GDP ) and employment during the period 2010-2014 , the aim of this study was to determine how big the contribution of the fisheries sub - sector in supporting domestic product regional gross (GDP ) and the contribution of the fisheries sub - sector in supporting employment in the province of Riau .
In this study using quantitative analysis method that uses simple equipment and descriptive statistics into account , among others , ( i ) the growth of production , by comparing the amount of production (output ) generated from year to year during the observation period , ( ii ) the amount of labor absorbed , by calculating the percentage of the fisheries sub-sector workers against the economic sector workforce as a whole ( 9 sectors ) in the province of Riau , ( iii ) contribute to the formation of GDP , which calculates how much the contribution of the fisheries sub-sector to the overall economic contribution of the sector in Riau Province , ( iv ) the elasticity of employment from the fisheries subsector , which is obtained through ; dividing the percentage ( % ) growth of the fisheries sub-sector workers with the percentage ( % ) GDP growth in the fisheries sub-sector in Riau Province .
The results obtained in this study is the fisheries sub-sector in Riau Province has been of great benefit in supporting the Gross Regional Domestic Product ( GDP ) of Riau Province , particularly in contributing to the agricultural sector in particular , as well as the overall economy in general. In addition, the fisheries subsector also absorb a number of labor and increase the output produced in the province of Riau
