This study aims to determine the value of the community 's willingness to pay surrounding PT.Karimun Granite in the village of Pasir Panjang Meral Western District of Karimun, because the area suffered environmental damage caused by the mining of granite.
The sampling technique by using simple random sampling technique, with a total population of 1,235 families (KK), and the size of the sample selected 43 people. With this method of collecting data was questionnaire. The analytical method used in this research is descriptive and quantitative methods. Quantitative analysis to calculate willingness to pay to use the Contingent Valuation Method (CVM), which is based on a direct survey of the willingness to pay for the community in the village of Pasir Panjang Meral Western District of Karimun.
From the research results can be known, that the total value of Willingness To Pay (WTP) community due to mining of granite in the village of Pasir Panjang is Rp.27.859.130,00 per month, and the average willingness to pay per month by people in the village of Pasir Panjang Rp.22.558,00 per household. Respondents were most in terms of willingness to pay at 20,000 as many as 15 people, with the value of the lowest bid at 5,000 and the highest at 50.000.
