Pengaruh Kecepatan Arus Terhadap Tampilan Alat Tangkap Gombang

Purpose of this study is to observe the performance of stow nets during operated with various flow speed in a flume tank. Miniature of stow nets was set in a swimming channel of the flume tank as this experiment protocol. The current speed of flume tank was given by the inverter as 5-50 Hz, it corresponded to 2.7-246.1 cm/sec for the flow speed in the swimming channel. The result show that the flow speed was significantly effect on the performance of the stow net, such as position, movements and shift of stow nets. The flow speed was started to give impact on the mouth of stow net cod end > 2.7 cm/sec. This flow speed was threshold of opening of mouth cod end of the stow net. The best speed for stow net performance was 44.3 cm/sec.
