Pemanfaatan Vermikompos Yang Berbeda Terhadap Perubahan Parameter Fisika Pada Media Tanah Gambut
This research was conducted from January to March 2017 in the Kualu Nenas Village, Tambang district, Kampar Regency, Riau and in Environmental Quality Aquaculture, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine University of Riau. Vermicompost is a compost from the decomposition of organics material with the help of earthworm (Lumbricus sp.). The objective of this research were to find out of effect the vermicompost kind for change of peat soil and water physics properties as the soil color, crude soil fiber, bulk density (BD), soil porosity, temperature, turbidity and total suspended solid (TSS). The experimental design used a complete randomized design (CRD) with four treatments and three replications. The treatments applied were without vermicompost (P0), human fecal vermicompost (P1), cow feces vermicompost (P2), chicken feces vermicompost (P3). The quantity of worms fertilized in all tank were 273 worms tank-1 and 200 gram of feces tank-1. The result of this study showed that P1 (human fecal vermicompost) was the best treatment for (crude soil fiber 60.3%; BD 0.41 g/cm3 and porosity 65%,). For the turbidity (P1; 11.6-17 NTU, P2; 16-18 NTU, P3; 15.3-17 NTU) and for total suspended solid (TSS), (P1; 50-66 mg/L, P2; 63.3-120 mg/L and P3; 36.6-66.6 mg/L). The vermicompost of P1 was not effect to the soil colour. the temperature was water that range from 26-30oC the range temperature is still quite good for aquatic organism.
