Studi Kekuatan (Breaking Strength) Putus Benang Jaring Dari Bahan Pa (Polyamide) Yang Direndam Dalam Air Laut Dan Air Tawar

This research was conducted on 5 April to 15 May 2017 which was held in laboratory of Fishery and Marine Fishery Resources Utilization Faculty, University of Riau, Pekanbaru. The purpose of this research is to find out the strength of PA net threads that are immersed in sea water and fresh water. The method used in this research is the experimental method, the factors consist of immersion materials with sea water, fresh water and control with 10 repetitions and then analyzed descriptively. The yarn used in this study is PA yarn, the laboratory temperature ranges from 28-30oC, salinity sea water ranges from 31-40 oC, fresh water salinity 0, sea water temperature 27,4-30,9, fresh water temperature 27,1- 28.6. The value of breaking strength of PA control thread with an average of 51.68, PA breaking strength of yarn dampened in seawater with an average of 4.68 kgf, the power dropping force of PA yarn soaked in fresh water with an average of 4.95 kgf. From the results of a 50-day study that the PA thread has decreased breaking strength.
