Pemberian Beberapa Konsentrasi Bakteri Selulolitik Pada Serasah Tanaman Kedelai (Glycine Max L. Merril) Dengan Ukuran Cacahan Berbeda Terhadap Kecepatan Matang Dan Kualitas Kompos
Soybean litter have a high cellulose and hemicellulose content, so it required a long decomposition process. Beside that, the size of the material used also affected how long the decomposition. The utilization of cellulolitic bacteria is expected to accelerate the decomposition process of soybean litter. This research aimed to determine the best combination of cellulolytic bacteria concentration with the size of soy litter material that required the fastest time in composting and producing good quality soybean litter compost. This research was conducted to non factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The treatment that has been done was unchopped soybean litter with 0%, 40% and 50% cellulolytic bacteria concentration, roughly chopped soybean litter with 0%, 40% and 50% cellulolytic bacteria concentration, finely chopped soybean litter with 0%, 40% and 50% cellulolytic bacteria concentration. The results of this research showed that the soybean litter treatment which was finely choped with 50% cellulolytic bacteria concentration had the fastest composting time with C/N ratio of 13.47, C-organic 32.69%, Nitrogen 2.30%, Phosphorus 0.46% Potassium 5.31%, pH 6.78, Temperature 30oC, have a very dark brown color and smells like soil.
