Pengaruh Kascing Dan Pupuk Npk Terhadap Pertumbuhan Bibit Tanaman Kakao (Theobroma Cacao L.) Pada Medium Ultisol

This research aims to determine the interaction of vermicompost and NPK fertilizer and well as getting the best dose of vermicompost and NPK fertilizer on the growth of cocoa seedlings at Ultisol medium. The research was conducted at the Experimental Station of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau from Desember 2016 to March 2017. This research arranged in Completely Randomized Design (CRD). This study used a completely randomized design with two factors and three replications. The first factor that vermicompost (0, 12.5, 25 and 37.5 g/polybag) and the second factor, namely NPK fertilizer (0, 3.75, 7.5, 15 g/polybag). Each unit comprises 2 plant trial sample so as to 144 seedlings. Parameters measured were soil analysis, seedling height, number of leaves, stem diameter, leaf area, the ratio of the dry weight of roots and canopy. Giving vermicompost combination and NPK interaction effect showed no significant effect on all parameters. Vermicompost significantly affected all parameters while NPK fertilizer significantly affected seedling height, number of leaves and leaf area. Vermicompost fertilizer 12.5 g/polybag and NPK 7.5 g/polybag is the best dose to the growth of cocoa seedlings at Ultisol medium.
