Campuran Arang Sekam Padi Dengan Pupuk Kandang Ayam Dan Pupuk Npk Terhadap Pertumbuhan Dan Hasil Tanaman Jagung Manis (Zea Mays Saccharata Sturt) Di Lahan Gambut

The objective of this research was to determine the interaction effect of the mixed of charcoal husk with chicken mature and NPK fertilizer on growth and yield of sweet corn and get the best dose for peatlands. The research was conducted at experimental station of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, Rimbo Panjang village, Tambang subdistrict, Kampar district, Riau Province. This study was conducted for 4 months from August to November 2015 .The study arranged experimentally using Randomized Block Design (RBD) factorial consist of 2 factors and 3 replications. The first factor are mixed of of charcoal husk with chicken mature consist of 6 levels: A0 (0+5), A1 (0+10), A2 (3+5), A3 (3+10), A4 (6+5), A5 (6+10). The second factor is NPK fertilizer consist of 2 levels: P0 (300) and P1 (600). The data were examined by analysis of variance and means separation by Honestly Significant Difference (HSD) test at 5%. The parameters those observed were plant growth rate, ratio shoot and root, plant dry weight, male flowering time, female flowering time, leaf area, harvesting age, cob weight per plot, weight with corn husk each plant, weight without corn husk each plant, diameter of cob, cob length without corn husk. The results showed that the interaction of mixed charcoal husk with chicken mature and NPK fertilizer has not given real effect to growth and yield of sweet corn in peatland. Based on the research showed the mixed charcoal husk (6+10) tons/ha with NPK fertilizer 600 kg/ha gave the best result to the growth and yield of sweet corn in peatlands.
