Hubungan Status Hiperglikemi Dengan Severitas Stroke Pada Pasien Stroke Akut Di Bangsal Saraf Rsud Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau
World Health Organization (WHO) elaborates stroke as the disorder of brain function which features a sudden onset with clinical manifestations such as disorder of the cerebral functions, both focal and global. The appearing clinical manifestations last for more than 24 hours without any presence of other causes except vascular. In acute period of the internal disease (including stroke) is often followed by the presence of hyperglycemia. Hyperglycemia is often to be observed on the acute phase of stroke and associated with the increasing stroke severity. This research is aimed to know the relationship between hyperglycemia and the go home non-hemorrhagic and hemorrhagic stroke patients hospitalized in the period of December 2016-February 2017. This research was carried out at Arifin Achmad Regional Public Hospital, Riau Province. The sample amount in this research was 69 research subjects who met the criteria of inclusion and exclusion, consisted of 38 non-hemorrhagic stroke patients and 31 hemorrhagic stroke patients.
