Perbandingan Ketahanan Antara Lactobacillus Casei Subsp. Casei R-68 Dan Lactobacillus Casei Shirota Terhadap Antibiotik Dan Coculture Dengan Bakteri Patogen
The purpose of this research was to compare the resistence of Lactobacillus casei subsp. casei R-68 andLactobacillus casei Shirota to various types and dosage of antibiotics and to comparethe antimicrobial activity of Lactobacillus casei subsp. casei R-68 andLactobacillus casei Shirota against pathogenic bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus, Listeria monocytogenes, Salmonella typhi andEscherichia coli). The research was conducted experimentally by testing the resistance and antimictobial activity of Lactobacillus casei subsp. casei R-68 and Lactobacillus casei Shirota. Antibiotic resistancewas tested using well agar diffusion method and antimicrobial activity was tested by coculture method in milk skim. The data obtained were tabulatedand analyzed descriptively. The results showed that Lactobacillus casei subsp. casei R-68 and Lactobacillus caseiShirota were resistant to amoxicillin, cefadroxil, eritromicyn, ciprofloxacin, tetrasiklin at various dossages of 5 mg/ml, 0.5 mg/ml dan 0.05 mg/ml dosage marked by no inhibition zone in around antibiotic compunds. Both Lactobacillus casei subsp. casei R-68 and Lactobacillus casei Shirota inhibited the cell-growth of Escherichia coli FNCC-19, Listeria monocytogenesFNCC-0156, Staphylococcus aureus FNCC-15 and Salmonella typhi.
