Pengembangan Dinamometer Menggungankan Sensor Strain Gauge Dengan Tipe Batang Regang Single Bar Untuk Mengukur Gaya Pemotongan Pada Mesin Bubut
This study aims to develop a dynamometer for measuring cutting force at process
of turning. Dynamometer can measure axial and tangential forces. Dynamometer
development includes design, manufacture, calibration, and dynamometer testing.
Dynamometer design is adjusted with lathe type G. D. W LZ 350 in the laboratory
Technology Production, mechanical Engineering Universitas Riau, and designed
and analyzed well. after assembly of electrical devices and mechanical
dynamometer. Next is the calibration process to determine the multiplier factor for
tangential and axial forces. Final step is process of testing dynamometer at lathe
machine. Machining parameters used with rounds 445 Rpm, feeeding, 0,11; 0,22;
0,33 mm/Rev, and depth of cut 0,2; 0,3; 0,4 mm. Dimension of dynamometer is
75 mm × 40 mm × 40 mm. Maximum force that dynamometer can measure is 500
N, for axial and tangential force. The highest value for tangential force is 389,2 N
and the value for axial force is 100,9 N.
