Pengaruh Naungan Sarang Terhadap Masa Inkubasi Dan Persentase Penetasan Telur Penyu Sisik (Eretmochelys Imbricata) Secara Semi Alami Di Upt Konservasi Penyu Kota Pariaman Sumatera Barat

The incubation period and hatching rate of turtle eggs are influenced by temperature and humidity of the nest, thus the presence of shading above the nest location may affects those factors. This study aims to determine the effect of nest location on the incubation period and hatching rate of the eggs. This research was conducted from March to May 2017. There were 2 treatments, A (under the tree canopy) and B (open area), and 3 replications applied. There were 20 eggs/ nest. Result shown that the nest located under the tree is better, as there was 78.33% hatching rate and 60 days incubation period, while that of the open area was 58.33% and 58.33 days respectively.
