Pemanfaatan Limbah Cair Sagu Yang Difermentasi Dengan Em4 Sebagai Nutrien Untuk Pertumbuhan Mikroalga Chlorella Sp. Pada Medium Air Gambut
Sago liquid waste contain fair organic materials and the addition of EM4 may increase those
materials. To understand the best concentration of fermented waste for growing Chlorella sp, a
study has been conducted from April to August 2017. There were 4 treatments applied, the
fermented waste was mixed with peat water, P0 (0%), P1 (37.5%), P2 (50%), P3 (62.5%) and
P4 (75%). Chlorella sp was cultured for 15 days. Parameters measured were population and
biomass of the algae, Nitrate, phosphate, free CO2, pH, temperature and media color. Results
shown that the best media was P1 (37.5%), with 15,408, 000 cells/ml and 1.2 g/L biomass.
Nitrate concentration was peaked in the 7th day (8.1236 mg/L) and reduced into2.6653 mg/L in
the 14th day. Phosphate concentration gradually decrease, 33.0273 mg/L in the 1st day and
became 8.9403 mg/L in the 14th day. Nitrate and phosphate decrement indicate that those
materials have been used by the algae. Data obtained shown that the fermented sago liquid
waste can be used as nutrient for growing Chlorella sp.
