Pengaruh Pemberian Pupuk Kalium Dengan Jarak Tanam Berbeda Terhadap Pertumbuhan Dan Hasil Tanaman Bawang Merah (Allium Ascalonicum L.)
This study aims to determine the main effect of potassium fertilizer and plant spacing and their interaction on the growth and yield of shallot crop (Allium ascalonicum L.). This study was conducted at experimental field of Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, Pekanbaru. The study was conducted for three months, from September - December 2016. Research conducted experimentally in the field using a factorial CRD, which consists of two factors and 3 replications. The first factor was the potassium (K) fertilizer: K1: 120 kg/ha, K2: 150 kg/ha, K3: 180 kg/ha, K4: 210 kg/ha. The second factor was the plant spacing (J), namely: J1: 15 cm x 15 cm, J2: 20 cm x 20 cm. The parameters those observed in this research: plant height (cm), total bulbs/clump, bulbs diameter (cm), bulbs fresh weight (g), bulbs dry weight (g). Data results were analyzed statistically with Anova and Duncan test continued level of 5%. The results showed that the application of 150 kg/ha of potassium fertilizer and plant spacing of 20 cm x 20 cm was the best dose in increasing plant height, total bulbs/clump, bulbs diameter , fresh bulbs sweight, and bulbs dry weight.
Keywords : potassium fertilizer, spacing, shallot.
