Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berbicara Melalui Metode Bercerita Dengan Media Gambar Pada Anak Usia 5-6 Tahun Di TK Kasih Bunda Kecamatan Bunut Kabupaten Pelalawan
This research aimed to increasing speaking ability through
storytelling method with picture as a media for children age 5-6 years in TK Kasih
Bunda of Bunut Subdistrict of Pelalawan Regency. The subject of this research are 15
children in group B of TK Kasih Bunda, there are 8 son and 7 daughter. The method of
this research is Classroom Action Research conducted as much as 2 cycle, in each cycle
consist 4 stages namely planning, implementation of action, observation, and reflection.
This research used observation and documentation as the data retrieval techniques. And
the data analysis techniques for this research by use descriptive comparative that
compare cycle I to the next cycle, and withdrawal the conclusion with critical analysis.
Based on the data analysis, known that the average of children’s speaking ability before
the Cycle is 35.48% with “Begin to Develop” criteria. In Cycle I, after storytelling
activities with picture as a media, the children’s ability increase until 43.81% with
“Begin to Develop” criteria, while the average of Cycle II is 71.27% with “Developed
According to Expectation” criteria. It means that storytelling method with picture as a
media can increasing speaking ability for children age 5-6 years in TK Kasih Bunda of
Bunut Subdistrict of Pelalawan Regency.
