Perancangan Dan Pembuatan Alat Home Automation Controller Berbasis Internet Of Things

Currently the increasing in electricity bill become hot topic in Indonesia society. The increasing of electricity bills is due to the uncontrolled usage of home appliances. In addition, the uncontrolled usage of appliance will also cause a fire. In this paper, control systems and monitoring of home appliances are designed to provide a solution. This design system is expected comply to Internet of Things (IoT) system. This device allows to enable / disable home applianced using remote control system. In addition, this device can also provide information about electrical power that is used on home appliances are in use. The hardware consists of arduino and esp8266. Server thingspeak is utilized to send control and monitoring data. From the measurement result, the fastest control time obtained is 2.94 second and the slowest control time obtained is 10.9 second. This result is better than the previous studies, with the control time is 5-20 second.
