Pengaruh Pengangguran Dan Jumlah Penduduk Terhadap Tingkat Kemiskinan Di Provinsi Riau

This study aims to determine how big the influence of unemployment and the number of population on poverty level in Riau Province.
The data used in this study is secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics Riau Province. Independent variable in this research is unemployment and the number of population, while research variable is poverty level. This study uses quantitative research methods, and in the analysis using regression analysis by using SPSS computer program version 23.
From the results of research that has been done simultaneous test regression test (F Test) shows that unemployment and the number of population simultaneously have an effect on and significant to poverty level. Partial regression test (t test) shows that unemployment has positive and significant effect on poverty level. The number of population affected negatively and significantly to poverty level. The magnitude of influence on the poverty level is explained by unemployment and total population simultaneously of 93.8 percent (R2 = 0.938), while the 6.2 percentage is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.
