This research goal is improving formal sectors employment and educational effect to in - migration in Pekanbaru city.
This research was done in Pekanbaru city, with quantitative data and time series style in 2006 until 2015 periods. This research got multiple linear regression methods to process analysis data, with supported by SPSS 2.2 software in the PC. From this methods, we got how much independent variable (formal sectors employment and education) and dependent variable (in – migration Pekanbaru city) effects.
This research was show formal sectors employment give positive value (Tcount = 4,682) and significantly ( = 0,2%) in partial effects to in – migration in Pekanbaru city. Multiple regression coefficient of formal sector employment variable (x1) is 2,917. It mean that when formal sector employment variable (x1) get increase 1% with education variable (x2) get constant, In – migration (Y) get increase 2,917. In another independent variabel, education give positive value (Tcount = 3,084) and significantly ( = 1,8%) in partial effects to in – migration in Pekanbaru city. Multiple regression coefficient of education variable (x2) is 0,157. It mean that when education variable (x2) get increase 1% with formal sector employment variable (x1) get constant, In – migration (Y) get increase 0,157.
