Karakterisasi Pengaruh Suhu Terhadap Parameter Fisis Biji Pinang Hasil Pengeringan Menggunakan Alat Tipe Kabinet Dengan Limbah Tempurung Kelapa Sebagai Sumber Panas
The dryer cabinet types has succesfully been modified to determine the mass, moisture content, density, and efficiency of drying time for young and old betel nut using biomass energy coconut shell. Drying was done by means of a dryer cabinet -type with a length of 130 cm, width 90 cm and height 120 cm. The drying chamber was formed in such a way that was equipped with a chimney, two levels of drying rack and 2 drums as a combustion chamber. The room walls are made of plywood with a thickness of 8 mm and coated with zinc plate was painted black. Drying was carried out for 100 minutes with 10 minute intervals. The maximum decrease in the mass of betel nut is the seed matchmaker on rack 2 with a value of 48.39 grams. The maximum water content which was lost in the dryer was 25.57 % in young betel nut in the second rack. The maximum density of the lies in the old betel nut 53,16°C temperature. Time efficiency 65.75% of young betel nut and betel nut old at 78.07%..
