Penentuan Konduktivitas Listrik Air Sungai Batang Lubuh Di Sekitar Pembuangan Limbah Pabrik Kelapa Sawit PT.IMSB Menggunakan Metode Jembatan Wheatstone
This research is aimed to determine electrical conductivity of water of Batang Lubuh river in Surau Tinggi, located in an area of palm oil mill waste disposal PT.IMSB Using experiment method of Wheatstone Bridge . This process begun by having the sample of water of Batang Lubuh river at seven spots of that area before and after waste disposal PT.IMSB, then can be calculated value of resistance, resistivity, and electrical conductivity of water. Measurement of the concentration of heavy metals (Cu, Pb, Zn) used by atomic absorption spectrophotometers (AAS). The result showed that the value of a large electrical conductivity that is at a point near the waste disposal, it was 173,55 x 10-6 Ωm-1 with concentration Cu 0,348 mg/l, Pb 2,542 mg/l and Zn 0,985 mg/l, while the smallest electrical conductivity was at the point before the waste disposal 33,90 x 10-6Ωm-1 with concentration Cu 0,367 mg/l, Pb 1,770 mg/l, and Zn 0,401 mg/l. This result explained that at seven spots of measurement have been contaminated with heavy metals (Cu, Pb, Zn) because it was over the limit permissible levels.
