Pengaruh Waktu Iradiasi Gelombang Mikro Terhadap Daya Serap Karbon Aktif Dari Ampas Tebu
Activated carbon had been made from sugar cane bagasse by pre-carbonization and chemical activation using ZnCl2 activator supported with microwave irradiation . Microwave irradiation time variated for 10 minutes, 15 minutes and 20 minutes. The purpose of the research to be cognizant of irradiation microwave time for activated carbon to evaluate adsorption of Pb, Fe, and Cu. Activated carbon were characterizated by using X-Ray diffraction, N2 gas adsorption-desorption and Atomic Adsorption Spectroscopy (AAS) technique. The best Microwave irradiation time on producing of activated carbon for adsorption of heavy metal of Pb, Fe and Cu was 20 minute carbon activation of heavy metal adsorption power optimum for 20 minute with adsorption 61,24 % for Pb 58,85 % for Fe and 57,09 % for Cu. The high of heavy metal adsorption supported by the best value of Lc and surface area were 2,042 nm and 216,941 m2/g respectively.
