Efek Variasi Rasio Massa Koh Pada Proses Aktivasi Kimia Terhadap Struktur Pori Dan Kapasitansi Spesifik Superkapasitor Berbasis Karbon Aktif Dari Serbuk Gergaji Kayu Karet
Supercapacitor electrodes from rubber wood saw dust (RWSD) have been fabricated using experiment method with RSWD and KOH mass ratio variation of 1:1, 1:3, 1:5 and 1:17. Electrodes were carbonized at 600 oC and followed by physical activation method in CO2 gas under condition on the constant temperature of 900 oC. Chemical activation was performed using KOH solution as an activating agent. The BET surface area, pore volume, and pore distribution were evaluated based on N2 adsorption at 77 K showing pore distribution of the carbon electrodes was dominanted messopores. The electrochemical behaviors of series were characterized by means of cyclic voltammetry. The optimum supercapacitor performance was found on 1:5 electrode yielding the specific capacitance of 72.82 F/g with BET surface area of 522.463 m2/g.
