Penentuan Temperatur Bintang Menggunakan Sistem Spektroskopi Absorpsi Pada Observatorium Bosscha Lembang
Star Temperatures need to be determined for some purposes such as finding mother star of solar system of outer planets. Absorption spectroscopy method can be used in star temperature measurement. Absorption spectroscopy method have been used to measure temperatures of star. In this study, a GAO-ITB telescope system were used to calculate star temperature. The system consists of NEO-R1000 spectrograph, C11 Celestron telescope, and SBIG ST-8 CCD camera. The samples comprised of 15 stars i.e. 1 star for each O, B, and A star classification and 3 stars each for F, G, K and M star classification. Data obtained were star absorption spectra which were analyzed using IRAF software, which performs data reduction, wavelength calibration, and flux calibration. The results were presented by intensity vs. wavelength graph, effective temperature, and percentage difference to reference temperature. The results showed that wavelength range measured for 15 stars were 3500-8000 Ǻ, effective temperature range was 3626 – 8186 K, and percentage differences with reference temperature were 0,7 – 79,5 %.
