Adsorpsi Logam Berat Pada Karbon Aktif Dari Ampas Tebu Dengan Variasi Waktu Pengaktifan Kimia Berbantuan Iradiasi Gelombang Mikro
The adsorption of heavy metal ion on the activated carbon from sugar cane bagasse had been succesfully done. activated carbon had made by pre-carbonization process and and microwave irradiation assisted zinc chloride (ZnCl2) activation. Chemical activation done by varies of time activation for 15 hours, 20 hours and 25 hours. The ratio of mass percentase of pre-carbonitation if sugar cane baggase and ZnCl2 was 2 :1. The aims research was to study the characteristic of activated carbon and adsorption of heavy metal ions Pb, Fe, and Cu from river Siak. Activated carbon were characterized using X-Ray Diffraction, Scanning Electron Microscopes and atomic adsorption Spectroscopy. The best chemical activation time for the adsoption of heavy metal ion was 25 hours with the adsorption of Pb, Fe, and Cu of 84,76 %, 63,61, 62,77% respectively. The absorbtion of the heavy metal ion was supported by the highest value of stack height (Lc) of 5,308 nm.
