Analisis Segregasi Karakter Kilauan Biji, Bentuk Biji, Dan Warna Kulit Polong Kacang Hijau (Vigna radiata L.) GENERASI F3
The improvement program of mung bean (Vigna radiata L.) can be done by crossbreeding, selection, and testing of the progeny to obtain new varieties. study aims to analyze the segregation of characters sparkle seed, seed shape, and color of green pea pods on the plants of the result of crossbreeding plants green pea pods brown and black. The study was conducted at the experimental station of Biology, Faculty of Math and Natural Science, University of Riau from January to April 2015. A total of 693 mung beans seeds (F2 generation) were planted and observed. The results showed that the skin color of mung beans pods (F3 generation) have a variation. The dominant trait that appears in the F3 generation is black pod 72.91%, followed by 27.03% brown, brown black color striped 2.01%, and albino (white straw) 0.37%. Form of green beans F3 generation is dominated by seed is round, while the sparkle seeds, seed shiny more dominant than dull.
