Biologi Reproduksi Ikan Selais Bungkuk (Hemisilurus heterorhynchus, Bleeker 1854) Di Sungai Kampar Kiri, Provinsi Riau
Fish of Selais Bungkuk (Hemisilurus heterorhynchus) is one of the catfish in Riau which has high economic value currently becomes endangered. The purpose of this study was to aimed to examine biological reproduction aspect of H. heterorhynchus which included body length distributon of fish, the maturity stages, gonad somatic index (GSI), sex ratio, fecundity and spawning patterns as the basic information on conservation effort of this species. This study was conducted from October 2015 until March 2016 in Kampar Kiri River. Total of fish collected were 78 individuals which consisted of 42 male fish and 36 female fish. The sex ratio of the male and female fish were 1:1,16. Total length and body weight of male and female fish ranged from 19 to 41 cm (40-310 g) and 19-50 cm (40-600 g), respectively. Growth pattern of H. heterorhynchus both male and female was negative allometric. The gonad mature fish were commonly found in October and November. Higher GSI of male on October (0.24%) and female on November (2.80%). Fecundity of H. heterorhynchus range 6444-20654 eggs and the spawning pattern indicated total spawner fish
