Studi Pengoperasian Alat Tangkap Pengerih Di Kelurahan Teluk Belitung Kecamatan Merbau Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti

One of the tools used by fishermen in Belitung Bay is a fishing gear. The purpose of this research is to know the description of measuring and capture function in Teluk Belitung urban village. This research was conducted in October 2017 at Teluk Belitung Village, Merbau Sub-district, Meranti Islands Regency. The method used is participatory method and practical analysis and t-hypothesis analysis and chi-square test. From the results of the research the operated amounts of tidal and low tide and the total number of catches during the research was 56090 gr. The dominant catch type during the study was red shrimp (Panaeus monodon), which was a 9660 gram catch at high tide, 3740 grams at low tide. The t-test indicates that there is a difference in yield at low tide and chi-square shows that there is no difference in the catch rate at high tide and low tide.
