This thesis discusses Indonesia motivation exporting natural rubber to Canada. Rubber becomes the object of research because it is one of the needs of the world's advanced industrial countries. Natural rubber as an industrial raw material is an Indonesian export commodity that contributes the largest foreign exchange in the non-oil sector from the agricultural sector. Canada is a destination for natural rubber export because Indonesia has a motivation through natural rubber trade.
In analyzing Indonesia motivation exporting natural rubber to Canada. The author uses the perspective of liberalism supported by the concept of the nation state. The theory used is the National Interests and International Cooperation Theory. This research is a qualitative research with descriptive analysis method.
Indonesia's natural rubber export to Canada becomes the country's suppliers of foreign exchange and a potential market opportunity for Indonesia's natural rubber which contributes US $ 358.38 million of foreign exchange in 2011. Canada is a potential market for Indonesia's natural rubber, because annually export of natural rubber Always dominates from nickel export commodities, Coffee, Furniture, sportswear and others. Reduce Indonesia's dependence on US and Chinese markets. Indonesia makes Canada as an opportunity to expand market opportunities in NAFTA countries (North American Free Trade Agreement) consisting of the United States, Mexico and Canada. Signing of the MoU on the Action Plan of Indonesia and Canada 2014-2019 to strengthen political cooperation and defense and security, through increased trade, investment, economy and development.
