Meningkatkan Kemampuan Mengenal Huruf Melalui Permainan Tebak Huruf Pada Anak Usia 5-6 Tahun Di TK Negeri Pembina Kecamatan Bunut Kabupaten Pelalawan
Abstract: This research motivated by children’s ability in recognize the letters in TK Negeri Pembina of Bunut Subdistrict of Pelalawan Regency that have not develop optimally. This research aimed to know how the games “guess the letter” could increase children’s ability in recognize the letters, and to know the amount of improvement of children’s ability in recognize the letters. The subject of this research are 14 children in group B1 of TK Negeri Pembina. The method of this research is Classroom Action Research conducted as much as 2 cycle, in each cycle consist 4 stages namely planning, implementation of action, observation, and reflection. This research used observation as the data retrieval techniques. Based on the data analysis, known that the average of children’s ability in recognize the letters before the Cycle is 42.08% with “Begin to Develop” criteria. After doing games “guess the letter” in Cycle I, the children’s ability increase until 50.56% with “Developed According to Expectation” criteria, while the average of Cycle II is 72.22% with “Developed According to Expectation” criteria. It means that the games “guess the letter” are effective to increasing children’s ability in recognize the letters for children age 5-6 years in TK Negeri Pembina of Bunut Subdistrict of Pelalawan Regency.
