Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe STAD (Student Team Achievement Divison) Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Matematika Siswa Kelas VIII A SMP Islam Kepenuhan
This research is based on the low activity of learning process and the low
students achievement in mathematics at class VIIIA of SMP Islam Kepenuhan,which
only 32% of student who achieved the standard of Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimum
(KKM) on the Algebra whichwas used as the basic score before giving any treatments.
This research is an action researchwhich aims to improve the learning process
andstudents achievement in mathematics, by applying cooperative learning Student
Team Achievement Division (STAD)type. The subject of this research were the students
in class VIIIA of SMP Islam Kepenuhan on the first semester of academic years
2017/2018 whichconsist of 10 boys and 15 girls.The instruments of the data in this
research were the observation sheets of teacher’s activity and students’ activity and
themathematics’ test. The observation sheets of teacher’s activity and students’ activity
were analyzed qualitatively to see the improvements of learning processand for the
mathematics’ test were analyzed quantitatively. The analysis ofthe observasion sheets of
teacher’s activity and students’ activity had seen that there was an enhancement of
learning process since the first day of first cycle to the last day of second cycle, and for
the analysis of mathematics’ test had showed an increasing number of students who
achieved the standard of KKM from the basic score with percentage 32% to 40% on the
first test and 56% on the second test, which means, that there was an enhancement from
basic score to the first cycle and second cycle.The conclusion based on these analysis is
that the application of cooperative learning using Students Team Achievement Division
(STAD) types can improve the learning process and students achievement in
mathematics at class VIIIA SMP Islam Kepenuhan in the first semester of academic
year 2017/2018.
