Abstract: This study aims to 1) to know the ability to think smbolik 4-5 years old children before using the media beads in PAUD Bening Kids District Tenayan Raya Pekanbaru, 2) to know the ability to think symbolically children aged 4-5 years after using the media bead- Beads in PAUD Bening Kids Tenayan Raya District Pekanbaru city, and 3) to know the influence of beads media on the ability of symbolic thinking in children aged 4-5 years in PAUD Bening Kids Tenayan Raya District Pekanbaru city. The subjects in this study are PAUD Bening Kids Tenayan Raya District Pekanbaru City Academic Year 2016/2017 with 4-5 years old children and 16 students, consisting of 9 boys and 7 girls. The type of research used is experimental or pre experimental design (nondesign). Based on the results of research showed that 1) the influence of beads media on the ability of symbolic thinking in children based on the results of observation and data analysis can be known pretestnya results (before being treated with symbolic thinking with the media beads) If seen in the individual category before the treatment is given then There is one child in the good category. Lack of the ability of symbolic thinking of children before the treatment that is in the category less because during this learning done without interesting game, 2) the influence of beads media on the ability of symbolic thinking in children based on observation and data analysis can diketahuihasil posttestnya (after given the treatment of symbolic thinking Using beads media) there is an increase in the average ability of symbolic thinking in children after using beads media. This means that the ability to think symbolically using bead media can be used as a way to improve the child's symbolic thinking ability. It can be seen that after treatment, the ability of symbolic thinking of children has increased that there are children who are in good category and there are no more children in the category less. After using beads media, the symbolic thinking ability of children aged 4-5 years increases, 3) there is influence on children's thinking ability by using beads media. These influences can help children's activities both cognitively and physically. With the media beads the child becomes happy and accepts what has been given.
