Abstract : The low of symbolic thinking ability is the problem of this research, especially for children aged 5-6 years. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of Treasure Searching Game Againts the Symbolic Thinking Ability of Children Aged 5-6 Years in Putri Dewi Preschool at Tampan Distric of Pekanbaru City. The research method used is pre-experimental using one group pretest-posttest. The sampling technique by using total sampling where in all of 16 population being samples observation use to take the data. All data would be analyse quantitatively with using t-test of SPSS program for Windows Ver. 19. The result shows that there is effect of Treasure Searching Game Againts the Symbolic Thinking Ability of Children Aged 5-6 Years in Putri Dewi Preschool at Tampan Distric of Pekanbaru City. It can be shows from correlation coefficient rxy = 0,336, impact of Treasure Searching Game Againts the Symbolic Thinking Ability of Children Aged 5-6 Years is categorizing in low. Coefficient value is about 11,29 %, it means that this treasure searching game giving effect about 11,27% toward symbolic thinking ability of children aged 5-6 years in Putri Dewi Preschool at Tampan Distric of Pekanbaru City.
