Abstrak: Based on the observation by writer at Paud Aqeela Kecamatan Tampan Pekanbaru city found the symptoms or phenomena especially on the aspect of knowing the number, as follows: 1) the author saw from 12 children only 3 people who know the sequence of numbers from 1 to 10, 2) Some children who are difficult to connect or pair the number symbol with objects 1 to 10. As for the purpose of this study is as follows: to know whether playing apron numbers can improve the ability to count the beginning of children aged 4-5 years in Paud Aqeelq Kecamatan Tampan Pekanbaru City. This type of research is a classroom action research. The subject of this study is the children Paud Aqeela Tampan District Pekanbaru City with the number of children as many as 12 people consisting of 8 women and 4 men. Based on the results of research known that 1) based on the data results of research can be said that the ability to count on the beginning of each child has increased from before the action of research compared with after doing research action by using apron number playing, 2) by playing apron numbers can increase the ability to count The beginning of children aged 4-5 years in Paud Aqeela Pekanbaru Town District, 3) Percentage improvement of early numerical skills of 4-5 year olds by age 4-5 years using playing apron number in Paud Aqeela Kecamatan Tampan Pekanbaru City from Pre cycle or before Application by playing apron number. There is also an increase of early numeracy ability in children aged 4-5 years in Paud Aqeela Kecamatan Tampan Pekanbaru City before the use of apron playing method is considered an average of 33.33% and increase the average value in cycle I of 39.32 % As well as on cycles II of 63.93%. The conclusion of hypothesis testing is the hypothesis proposed in this study which reads "that the use of game strategy of Nutritional figures can increase the early counting in children aged 4-5 years In Paud Aqeela Kecamatan Tampan Kota Pekanbaru acceptable".
