Pengaruh bibliotherapy dengan Buku Cerita Bergambar Terhadap Respon Fisiologis Kecemasan Anak Usia Prasekolah yang Mengalami Hospitalisasi
Bibliotherapy is a communication technique that therapeutic, creative, and supportive by using the book for increasing expression feeling, coping, problem solving, decision making or mindset. The aim of research is identify the effect of bibliotherapy with illustrated story book to anxiety physiologic response among preschool-age children during hospitalization. The design of this research is quasy experiment with nonequivalent control group design. The samples are taken by nonprobability with purposive sampling. The total samples, 34 hospitalized preschool-age children, divided into 17 hospitalized preschool-age children into experiment group and 17 children into control group. Anxiety physiologic responses of this research were systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, heart rate, and respiratory rate with anxiety levels from mild to highest. The data was analyzed by t dependence and t independence. The results showed that there is significant effect bibliotherapy with illustrated story book to anxiety physiologic response among preschool-age children during hospitalization are systolic blood pressure (p value 0,002), diastolic blood pressure (p value 0,000), heart rate (p value 0,000), and respiratory rate (p value 0,000). The results of the research recommend nurses and parents for applying bibliotherapy with illustrated story book as hospitalization anxiety solving for the children.
