Efektivitas Pengangkutan Sampah Oleh Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Dan Kebersihan Kota Pekanbaru

This research was conducted at Environmental and Sanitation Office (DLHK) Pekanbaru City. With the problem still less support for the operation of waste transport by DLHK. At this time handling waste problems in the city of Pekanbaru not been able to run well. This is due to the wide area of service with the increasing number of high piles of garbage and facilities and infrastructure of inadequate hygiene support.

The objectives of the research are: (1) to know the effectiveness of garbage transportation by Environment and Sanitation Office of Pekanbaru City; (2) to know the inhibiting factors and the driving factors that affect the effectiveness of waste management by the Environment and Sanitation Office of Pekanbaru City. The informant of this research is taken from Head of Waste Management, Kasi Waste Reduction and Utilization, Head of Handling and Final Processing of Garbage, Head of Facilities and Infrastructure, and society of Pekanbaru City. This research uses qualitative descriptive research with data collection techniques including interview, observation and documentation study.

Based on the result of research, that effectiveness of garbage transportation by Environmental and Sanitation Service of Pekanbaru City is done by using indicator (1) Clarity of Objectives To be Achieved; (2) Clarity of Goal Achievement Strategy; (3) Strong Policy Analysis and Formulation Process; (4) Preparation of the Right Program; (5) Availability of Facilities and Infrastructure. Factors influencing the effectiveness of garbage transportation by City of Sanitation and Sanitation Office Pekanbaru are: (1) Human resources (2) Community Participation (3) Budget.
