Gambaran Pelaksanaan Hand Hygiene Perawat Di Ruang Rawat Inap

Hand hygiene is the act of removing dirt and dust mechanically from the skin of the hand. This research aims to identify the implementation of hand hygiene by nurses by using a simple descriptive research design. The research sample was 96 respondents taken based on inclusion criteria using total sampling technique. The measuring instruments used are observation sheets and questionnaires. The analysis method used is univariate to describe frequency distribution implementation of hand hygiene by nurses in the Inpatient Room. The results showed the majority of respondents were able to achieve 6-step hand hygiene techniques with the highest percentage was the first step as many as 90 (93.8%) respondents. The majority of respondents were able to achieve the appropriate duration for hand hygiene with antiseptics as much as 73 (76.0%). As many as 58 (60.4%) respondents were able to achieve the duration of hand hygiene according to the provisions for hand hygiene with soap. 69 (71.9%) of respondents were able to implement five moments of hand hygiene. This study recommends nurses to implement hand hygiene according to the provisions so that the incidence of infection in hospitals is reduced.Keywords: Five moment, hand hygiene.Bibliography: 39 (2007-2018)
