Persepsi Lansia Terhadap Kota Pekanbaru Menurut Indikator Kota Ramah Lansia
Ageing population has been increasing significantly throughout the world. Elderly need supporting environment to keep a good quality of life. WHO arranged age-friendly cities guideline and this guideline is standard tool for assessing age-friendly environment. Age-friendly environment is an issue in Pekanbaru city and challenge for enabling appropriate environment to become age-friendly city. This research aimed to know elderly’s perception of Pekanbaru city based on age-friendly cities guideline. Design of this research was descriptive. Respondents of this research were 100 respondents. Respondents who have aged > 60 were interviewed using questionnaire based on age-friendly cities guideline by WHO and age-friendly cities guideline by Social Ministry of Indonesia, using purposive sampling. Univariate analysis was used in this research. Results from this research were safety for elderly pedestrian, safety environment especially in elderly’s house, health service, and communication and information about health, still need encouragement from many aspect and collaborative planning by government, community and multidisciplinary are needed to enable an environment for elderly.
