Self Efficacy Penderita Tuberkulosis Paru Dalam Pelaksanaan Self Care
Pulmonary tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by the mycobacterium tuberculosis that attacks the lungs and spreads through splashes of saliva when sneezing or coughing by patients with tuberculosis with positive acid-resistant basil (BTA). The problem of tuberculosis sufferers found that there are still sufferers who have mental stress, lack the confidence and meaning of a good life, so they have low self efficacy. This study aimed to determine the self efficacy of pulmonary tuberculosis patients in the implementation of self care. The study was designed in descriptive with cross-sectional approach. The sample were 35 respondents who suffer from tuberculosis with BTA (+) and taken by total sampling technique. The instrument utilized was a questionnaire. The data obtained was analyzed by univariate analysis. The results showed that the most self-efficacy of pulmonary tuberculosis patients was in the moderate category, which were 25 respondents (71.4%) and the highest value of self-efficacy in the implementation of self care was verbal persuasion that fulfillment of nutrition was in the confident category, which were 30 respondents (85,7%) and prevention of transmission was also in the confident category, which were 28 respondents (80,0%). Based on the results of the study, the researchers recommended that the Puskesmas and other health workers pay more attention and improve the patient's self-efficacy about the disease, treatment and implementation of self care by providing health education about tuberculosis and self care at home so the low of self-efficacy problems do not occur again and treatment of tuberculosis can be completed properly and thoroughly. : pulmonary tuberculosis, self care, self efficacy References : 45 (2007-2018)
